Grace Unplugged in Theaters

Even though this is a few days late, we thought it was worth mentioning that the new movie Grace Unplugged was released in theaters this weekend! Grace Unplugged, a new Christian film by Lionsgate Entertainment, was released in hundreds of theaters on October 4th. The synopsis reads:

"Having just turned 18, Grace Trey aspires to more than just singing at her church, where the worship leader is her father—a former pop star. So, with the help of Mossy, her dad's former manager, Grace records a cover version of her dad's old Top-10 hit, runs off to Los Angeles, and begins to taste the kind of stardom she's always dreamed about.

Yet with each rung of the ladder she climbs, Grace feels more and more pressure to compromise her values, further straining her relationship with her parents. Will everything she experiences lead her to reject her faith … or rediscover it? Grace Unplugged opens in theaters October 4."

Kirk Cameron's Unstoppable Second Showing

For those of you who weren't able to attend Kirk Cameron's Unstoppable premiere last week, hopefully you'll be able to attend his second showing tonight. They had so many sell outs for last week's premiere, that they added a second show for tonight. I was unable to attend last week, so I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it tonight. We'll be back in a few short days with a review of this film and what our thoughts were on it. New Movie: Genesis in 3D

Genesis Movie in 3d

An interesting new Christian film is now attempting to be crowd-funded on indiegogo! Genesis in 3D is a new feature-length animated film coming soon to theaters, 3D Blu-ray, and DVD. The synopsis reads:

"Genesis 3D Movie is a feature-length documentary film based on the first book of the Bible, featuring stunning 3D visual effects accompanied with expert scientific research!"

Right now, they are available to support on their indiegogo page, and this will continue until October 31st. They are currently at 87% of their goal (as of this posting), with a total of $130,100 supported of their of $150,000 goal. To donate to their campaign, you can visit them on their indiegogo page. New Movie: Alone Yet Not Alone

Alone Yet Not Alone Movie

Yet another new Christian film is being released in select theaters tonight! Alone Yet Not Alone is a new Christian film by Enthuse Entertainment that tells the story of an 18th century family in the French and Indian War. The full synopsis reads:

Alone Yet Not Alone tells the inspiring story of Barbara and Regina Leininger and their journey of faith and survival during the French & Indian war in 1755. Captured by the Allegheny Indians in a raid on their home and transported over 300 miles of wilderness to Ohio, the sisters are sustained only by their abiding trust in God, and their hope of escape against all odds to be reunited with their family.

Another new movie is releasing next week in theaters, Grace Unplugged! If you haven't heard of this film, the description reads:

As a member of our family worship band at our church, I'm really looking forward to seeing this new movie when it premieres next week. Kirk Cameron's Unstoppable in Theaters

The day is finally here! After several months of waiting (and dealing with being blocked on Facebook and Youtube), Kirk Cameron's Unstoppable is finally coming to theaters tonight! This film, put together by Kirk Cameron and Liberty University, will be appearing tonight in theaters around the country tonight and as a special second showing on October 3rd. If you haven't heard of Kirk Cameron's new film, the description reads:

"Kirk Cameron returns to movie theaters September 24 with the follow-up to his record-breaking, one-night theatrical event, Monumental. In Unstoppable, a brand-new documentary, Kirk takes you on a personal and inspiring journey to better understand the biggest doubt-raiser in faith: Why? Kirk goes back to the beginning—literally—as he investigates the origins of good and evil and how they impact our lives … and our eternities. Reminding us that there is great hope, Unstoppable creatively asks—and answers—the age-old question: Where is God in the midst of tragedy and suffering?"

This will be an interesting night, and even with all of Kirk Cameron's problems being blocked by Facebook and Youtube, they were able to finally premiere this movie tonight. Hope For Hurting Hearts Now Available

Hope for Hurting Hearts Movie Now Available

Hope for Hurting Hearts, a new film by Greg and Cathe Laurie, has finally been released on DVD. If you happened to miss it when it was in theaters this July, now would be a great time to pick up the film. If you haven't heard of it yet, the description reads:

"Everyone has to deal with crises in life, including Christians. And sometimes, the reality of life can seem unbearable. But we can rest in the knowledge that God loves us, He weeps in our times of pain, and He can be glorified through suffering. Narrated by Dr. James Dobson, Hope for Hurting Hearts tells the stories of how Greg and Cathe Laurie, Jeremy Camp, Nick Vujicic, and their families dealt with times of trial. Each of these individuals has stood at a "spiritual crossroads" marked by challenging and painful circumstances, and each has chosen the road of trusting, following, and glorifying God.

New Movie: King's Faith

A new film that released in April is coming to DVD in a month. If you haven't heard of it, King's Faith, a Provident Film, released in April in theaters and is finally coming to DVD. The description of this new movie reads:

"Brendan King is a foster kid who grew up on the wrong side of the law graduating from five-finger discounts and fights on the playground to drug-dealing and gun-running as a member of the multi-racial gang called Avenue D. Arrested in a federal raid when he was fifteen, and imprisoned for three years until his parole at eighteen, Brendan has found a relationship with God and with it he has turned his life around. Upon his release, he moves in with a new foster family and starts attending high school in an affluent suburb near the city where he grew up. But while he does his best to fit in and leave his turbulent gang life behind him, friends from his past find him and begin to threaten his new-found faith, family and future."
