It's no secret that we absolute loved Old Fashioned when it came out. We mentioned it on our Youtube channel, reviewed it on our podcast, and gave it plenty of coverage on our blog. After a successful run in the theaters last February, this movie is now coming to DVD today. The synopsis for this film says:
"A romantic-drama, Old Fashioned centers on Clay Walsh, a former frat boy who gives up his reckless carousing and now runs an antique shop in a small Midwestern college town. There, he has become notorious for his lofty and outdated theories on love and romance as well as for his devout belief in God. When Amber Hewson, a free-spirited young woman with a restless soul, drifts into the area and rents the apartment above his shop, she finds herself surprisingly drawn to his strong faith and noble ideas, which are new and intriguing to her. And Clay, though he tries to fight and deny it, simply cannot resist being attracted to her spontaneous and passionate embrace of life. Ultimately, Clay must step out from behind his relational theories and Amber must overcome her own fears and deep wounds as the two of them, together, attempt the impossible: an "old-fashioned" and God-honoring courtship in contemporary America."

Ever since Netflix Instant Play rose to popularity, Christians have been looking for a similar service, featuring Christian films and a variety of wholesome entertainment. While Netflix does have some options, such as God's Not Dead, and the new exclusive series Veggietales in the House, the selection is still pretty limited. There have been a few other services that we've mentioned from time to time, and today we're letting you know about a new one releasing from Pure Flix, one of the biggest names in the Christian film industry right now.
With a design and UI very similar to Netflix, it would seem they're attempting to give Christians an option to directly compete with Netflix. The service is priced at $7.99/month, and will allow you to watch on a computer, on Android phones, or Roku. Some of the titles available for instant online streaming include:
-Dancer and the Dame
-One Hit from Home
-The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry
-Kingdom Under the Sea
These are just a few of the titles, and if you want to find out more for yourself, you can visit www.PureFlix.com. What do you think about this? Will you be subscribing to this service? As always, be sure to let us know what your thoughts are in the comments below!

With Sophie’s assistance, Jackson travels down a twisting road leading to a decades-old secret that could destroy him. As Eric’s guidance falls on deaf ears, Jackson’s quest for answers is only breeding more questions. Will he be doomed to repeat the same cycle, or will he choose to journey forward and find hope for his future?
Last month, we let you know that the producers behind the new Left Behind movie were looking into creating a sequel. So, to raise more funds for their film, they took to Indiegogo, in an attempt to raise $500,000 by May 7th, 2015. That day has now passed, and they have unfortunately only been able to raise 16% of their goal, $80,699 in total.
However, this was a flexible funding campaign, meaning they receive all that money, despite not reaching their goal. So now, this leaves a lot of unanswered questions. Will the sequel still go through? Will they be able to produce the film they want to make with only $80,000? According to IMDB, the first film's budget was $16M, and grossed roughly $14M. The movie also received very negative reviews almost universally, and many (including us in our video review) were disappointed in the end product.
So, it looks like the future is uncertain for Left Behind 2. As seen in the video above, they seem to want to make a whole series of this movies, chronicling the entire account told in the books. But will they be able to go through with the second film? Only time will tell, so be sure to check back as we bring you the latest on the future of Left Behind!
