Holy Ghost on DVD

December 19th, 2014

Holy Ghost, a film originally funded on Kickstarter, has just been released on DVD! This was an interesting film, and while we may not have agreed with it entirely, it sparked some interesting conversation on an episode of the podcast. The synopsis for this film reads:

"Can the Holy Spirit direct a movie? In this fast-paced documentary from the director of Finger of God, Furious Love and Father of Lights, Darren Wilson sets out to make a movie that is completely led by the Holy Spirit. No plan, no script, no safety net – just go wherever he feels the Spirit leading him to try and discover the adventure God has for him. Whether its the riches of Monte Carlo, a heavy metal concert, or the oldest city in the world, the result is a film that not only challenges and excites, but also reveals a God who is far more alive and active than you ever imagined."

You can find both the original version of this film, or the deluxe edition, featuring three DVDs over on their website here. This is definitely a film worth discussing, whether you agree with it or not. After you've seen it, be sure to let us know what you thought of it in the comments below!

When The Game Stands Tall – which tells the true story of legendary De La Salle High School football Coach Bob Ladouceur, (Caviezel), and his assistant coach Terry Eidson, (Chiklis), who took the Concord California Spartans prep team from obscurity to a 151-game winning streak from 1992 to 2003 that shattered all records for consecutive victories in any American sport. November 23rd, 2014

Looking for something to do next Valentine's Day? Skoche Films has the answer! Their new film, Old Fashioned, releasing on February 14th, 2015, would be the perfect movie for a date night! The synopsis for this film reads:

"A romantic-drama, Old Fashioned centers on Clay Walsh, a former frat boy who gives up his reckless carousing and now runs an antique shop in a small Midwestern college town. There, he has become notorious for his lofty and outdated theories on love and romance as well as for his devout belief in God. When Amber Hewson, a free-spirited young woman with a restless soul, drifts into the area and rents the apartment above his shop, she finds herself surprisingly drawn to his strong faith and noble ideas, which are new and intriguing to her. And Clay, though he tries to fight and deny it, simply cannot resist being attracted to her spontaneous and passionate embrace of life. Ultimately, Clay must step out from behind his relational theories and Amber must overcome her own fears and deep wounds as the two of them, together, attempt the impossible: an "old-fashioned" and God-honoring courtship in contemporary America."

The Drop Box Release Date

November 13th, 2014

Back in July, we updated you on The Drop Box, mentioning that post production on the film was finally done. Well, a release date has now been officially announced for March 3rd! Rather than going straight to DVD, this film will be released in theaters from March 3-5, 2015. More details on the event were released through Kindred Image's e-mail newsletter:

"Unlike traditional theatrical releases, audiences will enjoy live performances from musical artists including Steven Curtis Chapman, listen to a discussion from a panel of influencers headlined by director Brian Ivie, and even hear from some surprise guests.

The hope is that this event-based release will not only augment the film's premiere, but also motivate people to take action on behalf of the abandoned, discarded, and disabled here in the United States, South Korea, and around the world!"

New Movie: Do You Believe?

November 11th, 2014

One of the most well-known and well-loved Christian films of 2014 was God's Not Dead, a surprise hit from Pure Flix Entertainment. After the success of their last film, they're hard at work on their next big project - Do You Believe? This film is set to release in theaters sometime in Spring of 2015. The full synopsis reads:

"A dozen different souls—all moving in different directions, all longing for something more. As their lives unexpectedly intersect, they each are about to discover there is power in the Cross of Christ … even if they don't believe it. Yet.

When a local pastor is shaken to the core by the visible faith of an old street-corner preacher, he is reminded that true belief always requires action. His response ignites a faith-fueled journey that powerfully impacts everyone it touches in ways that only God could orchestrate.

This stirring new film from the creators of God's Not Dead arrives in theaters Spring of 2015. More than a movie, it's a question we all must answer in our lifetimes: DO YOU BELIEVE?"

This will definitely be a big event and it's exciting to see Pure Flix releasing another big film so soon. You can learn more about this film in our New Movies section or on their website at Be sure to stay tuned as we bring you the latest on this film!
